Unlocking Ibiza: A Budget-Friendly Guide to Your Dream Getaway

Ibiza seems to have undergone quite the makeover, morphing from a thrill-seeker's upscale party haven to the playground of the rich and famous, driving prices through the roof. Nevertheless, people will flock there regardless. So, I've decided to spill my money-saving secrets on travel.

Here's a straightforward 3-step process:

Step 1: Say no to packaged holidays; they're daylight robbery! Book flights and hotels separately to save big.

Step 2: Head to Skyscanner for the best flight deals. Tweak your dates for extra savings; it's the same flight agencies offer.

Step 3: When booking your hotel, skip the big names. Try Locktrip.com for 0% commissions and unbeatable discounts. It's like Trivago, only better.

Follow these steps, and you'll stash away a fortune while still enjoying top-notch quality. Who needs transfers when you're pocketing £££ in savings?

Let me walk you through exactly how to score the best deal. Take, for instance, this advertised package holiday by Thomas Cook.

It's promoted as a holiday for two, total price £2348, boasting return flights from Manchester to Ibiza, luggage, transfers, and don't forget the emphasis on Bed & Breakfast.

Here's what I'd do:

First, I hit up Skyscanner to hunt for flights on the 2nd of August to the 9th. Here are the cheapest options I found.

Next, I searched for a hotel for the same dates on Locktrip.com. Trust me, it's my go-to for unbeatable hotel prices.

Guess what? Opting for the same room as Thomas Cook but with bed & breakfast saved me roughly £400 on the holiday, fulfilling our goal. But let me show you something even better. Keep in mind, this is based on two people sharing.

Now, let's compare:

Thomas Cook - £2348 with Bed and Breakfast

Doing it ourselves - £2394, but All-Inclusive. So, we've overspent by £46 but we have so much more.

I call that a win. How much could we expect to save now that we can eat and drink 'for free' within our package? My bet is at least £500.

Remember, the only thing we miss out on is transfers. A quick online search shows it's easy to book transfers with independent companies starting at 7 euros.

I swear by this method for all my travels, not just in Ibiza.

Hope you find this helpful, and may your holidays be filled with savings and sunshine!
